Starting January of 2023, any new petitions for guardianship have a new requirement for proposed guardians. Prior to being appointed as a permanent guardian over an adult ward you must complete the required training and submit proof that you have completed this training to the court.
To enroll in this free online course, individuals will visit https://www.uwgb.edu/guardianship-training/ .
This is course is self-paced and is accessible 24/7. If an individual does not have access to a computer and/or Wi-Fi, they can find a list of free public computers and internet access in their county through the link on our website.
